Class Details:

Be part of a local study group led by an experienced,.qualified instructor, covering the fully body of knowledge with plenty of sample questions in just five weeks. Be part of a facilitated, small, study group of local professionals doing a page-turn of Quality Council of Indiana’s ASQ-approved CMQ/OE primer. Your comprehension and exam score will surely increase by not studying alone. Join us!

Familiarize yourself with the exam: This course is presented in a way that reinforces current knowledge, re-introduces applications that may not be used every day, explains the rationale for use and highlights sample questions, both multiple-choice and constructed responses. Participants will be asked to pre-read each section of the Quality Council of Indiana’s CMQ/OE primer each class. The pre-reading amounts to about 2 hours per week for five weeks. Doing some more sample questions on your own might add time to that.

Six hours of Live Class Time per week for 4-1/2 weeks is where the action is. The instructor will plan and encourage stopping points doing the page-turn of the reading to discuss rational for and/or likelihood of examination questions. Time will also allocated to review “topic at a glance” quick- reference aids based not only on the reading material but also based on the ASQ CMQ/OE Handbook, where the required reading is too “light” as attested by section members who taken this course and passed the exam.

Practice and receive critiques: The instructor will allow time at each session also to practice multiple choice questions. The instructor will provide individualized critiques on practice constructed response questions via email inbetween classes. Time spent in-class will not only be fun but give you confidence entering the examination.

Find your strengths and weaknesses just-in-time: The instructor will pace the group through, and help you determine yourself how best to organize your quick ref.-guides for the open book portion of the exam. The instructor will also flush-out memorable / practical examples from work, from all participants.

The primer is not included in the course fee. Before the first-class students must purchase the $80 printed copy of the Quality Council of Indiana CMQ Primer at http://www.qualitycouncil.com/CMQ.html.

We also recommend purchasing for yourself a copy of the $35 CMQ Solutions guide. Additional course material will be provided by the instructor.

Exam Registration is not included. The ASQ exam registration deadline is August 4th, 2017 for the September 1 – 17, 2017 Computer-Based Testing window. To register for that exam you need to go to ASQ.org https://asq.org/cert/catalog to find “Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence”.

Cost saving option: Coordinate with your coworkers and save: 10% fee reduction applies when three or more register from the same company.
