ASP 40TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION -- OCTOBER 20-21, 2016
Dear Fellow Alums:
ASP’s 40th Reunion celebration is fast approaching and we hope to see you there! Our rescheduled reunion will take place on Thursday, October 20, from 6-11 pm at the National Press Club, where we’ll spend the evening with former ASP directors, faculty and alumnus getting reacquainted and reconnected while we consider how we can build shalom and seek justice in our broken world. Former Directors John Bernbaum, Jerry Herbert, and Rich Gathro will lead an interactive discussion to consider current events and practical ways we can bring shalom to our communities. We’ll also hear from current ASP Director, Peter Baker, and CCCU President Shirley Hoogstra to understand how ASP helps today’s students understand their calling to shalom in our changing world.
In addition to stimulating discussions, there will be plenty of time for reconnecting with old friends and networking with fellow alumni. For those that want to continue the Thursday evening conversations, alumni are invited to join the current crop of 20 ASP students for special sessions on Friday, October 21, from 10 am to 4 pm at the ASP Building. These sessions will allow interested alums to participate in ASP classroom discussions and breakout sessions based on the ASP survey responses submitted by many of you this summer.
We’ll host another gathering in the Spring to continue celebrating ASP’s 40th anniversary where former ASP professor and author Steve Garber will help us explore issues of calling and vocation throughout our lives in different areas of service and sacrifice. It is our hope that ASP’s 40th reunion activities will be a time of renewal and encouragement for each of us. You will not want to miss these very special times together!
Our final request is that you don't delay your registration. For planning purposes, it is a tremendous help to us to know who is coming. We look forward to seeing you on October 20th!
