The History of Shock

Join us as we explore the environments faced by designers of equipment from the period preceding World War I to the present. Highlights of how different organizations reacted to those environments are presented, including standards and specifications, test equipment, and test procedures. Next we touch on the armed services, NASA, the National Labs and industry, describing the effects shock & vibration have had on the design of ships, automobiles, tanks, structures, airplanes, jets, missiles, and spacecraft.
