Event description

Description

Heightened consumer demand for increased product safety assurances moves down the supply chain with retailers and service providers asking for verifiable proof that robust market compliance and product safety control systems have been effectively implemented.

The variety of companies wanting to participate in Blockchain are driven by a need to demonstrate not only their market compliance, but also the consistently high quality of their methods and products. Most participants in the supply chain complain about the lack of transparency and trust by other participants. All stakeholders are asking for a better supply-chain collaboration method. Blockchain can provide a foundation for accountability and for predictive analytics to take a more proactive approach - if companies are willing to collaborate and if we have a well-trained workforce that can provide support and leadership.

Join Dr. Darin Detwiler, CPS Assistant Dean and Professor of Regulatory Affairs as he shares findings and facilitates a discussion on:

· How Blockchain holds future impact on a variety of industry areas (healthcare, food, regulatory compliance, analytics, law, the arts, and homeland security)

· Recent analysis on Blockchain’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats

· Current field tests through IBM with WalMart and other major retailers

· International momentum in Dubai
