Join us for an evening dedicated to firearm violence prevention where we will learn together and inspire current and future healthcare professionals to ask about firearm storage, discuss safety, and advocate for a safer tomorrow for all Georgians.

What is ASK day?

The ASK Campaign is a collaboration between the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence and the American Academy of Pediatrics who promotes the ASK message to its 62,000 members across the country. The ASK Campaign has successfully inspired 19 million households to ask if there are guns where their children play. http://askingsaveskids.org/

The ASK initiative in Atlanta, GA is a collaboration between Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, the Children's Injury Prevention Program, Grady Memorial Hospital, Morehouse School of Medicine and the Injury Prevention Research Center at Emory University, dedicated to addressing and preventing firearm injury for all ages in our Georgia communities.

Who should attend?

YOU should attend! Everyone is a stakeholder in reducing and preventing gun violence.

Future and current healthcare providers to learn 1. how to prevent injury for their patients 2. how to respond to firearm violence after it has already occurred 3. how to advocate and be part of the change in reducing gun injury in Georgia.

Community members involved in the various organizations working tirelessly on the ground to address and prevent gun violence in our neighborhoods.

Press who are interested in helping spread awareness about this issue.

Elected officials dedicated to helping better our community who want to take part in the conversation or simply learn more about how gun violence impacts Georgia.
