Description

ASK A MIDWESTERNER is live comedy show based on the video series of the same name by comedian Emily Winter. Winter is an NBC Late Night Writers Workshop script judge, is appearing in this month's San Francisco Sketchfest, and has been a staff writer for TV Land and a show on the Fusion Network. She co-created the largest geographic comedy festival, WHAT A JOKE, which raised more than $50K for The ACLU. She is a Midwesterner living in Brooklyn.

This special ASK A MIDWESTERNER show is at a Williamsburg pop-up theater called The Countdown at 8:30 PM (on the dot) on Friday, January 19. (Theater address: 41 S. 5th St, Office West, #2, between Driggs and Bedford).

The show includes:
-A Midwesterner striptease
-A performance of "Bodak Yellow," rewritten about casseroles
-The answers to many burning questions such as: "Why are there so many serial killers from the Midwest?" and "Is haystack sex uncomfortable?"

The Countdown Theater is doing only Wisconsin programming in January. The theater has a $10 suggested donation, but will happily allow broke people in for free. No advance tickets, just show up. For more information on The Countdown, visit: http://www.countdowntheater.com.

See you for ASK A MIDWESTERNER on Friday, Janauary 19!
