About this event
The ASID Texas Dallas Design Community invites you to join them to celebrate the finest achievements in interior design within the Dallas Design Community at the 2022 Design Ovation Awards: A Night To Remember. This year’s celebration will place in the historic Hall of State at Fair Park. Built in 1936 to commemorate the centennial of the Republic of Texas, the Hall of State is one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in the state.
Our evening will begin at 6:00 PM with libations, canapes and hors d'oeuvres in the Grand Foyer, where you can admire the murals and splendor of the limestone structure. At 7:00 PM a New Orleans brass band will lead us to the theater on the lower level for the awards presentation. After the winners are announced, we will return to the main floor, ascending into the Great Hall for a delicious sit-down family style dinner in magnificent surroundings. Dancing and frivolity will continue into the evening. Cocktail attire encouraged.
Parking: Self-parking is available in Lot 3E. Enter Fair Park through Gate 3 off Parry Avenue onto Washington Street. Keep straight and turn right into Lot 3E. Find a map HERE. Uber and Lyft also encouraged.

About the organizer
The Dallas Design Community is one of four design communities that make up the ASID Texas Chapter, which is part of the larger American Society of Interior Designers [ASID], a community of people – designers, industry representatives, educators and students – committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing and advocacy, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively impact and change people’s lives. Of the Society’s 24,000 Practitioners, 20% practice Residential design, 30% practice Commercial design, and 50% practice both.
The ASID Texas Chapter represents 1,400+ Practitioner, Educator, Student and Industry Representative members throughout the state of Texas excluding the greater Houston area, which is covered by the ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Since the Texas Chapter is quite large both in membership and in geographic expanse, most of the programming throughout the year takes place in the Design Communities: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and San Antonio.
Our members work in both the residential and commercial fields, either as sole proprietors or as part of small or large firms. Within the state and around the world, they provide valuable services and useful products to their clients. Our members strive to improve the quality of life for all of their clients through the creation of aesthetically pleasing, thoughtful design that takes into account the health, safety and welfare of the public.
