SketchUp Workshop .7 CEU

SketchUp is an easy way to rapidly visualize and communicate your design ideas to clients. This workshop will provide an introduction to 3D modeling and presentation using SketchUp Make (Free version), and all its 3D modeling tools.

The content of this workshop will be geared towards interior design professionals but the workshop is open to anyone interested in learning the Sketchup software and will provide a solid introduction to the software, regardless of professional interest.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Get familiar with software type options (SketchUp Pro & Make), SketchUp interface, command tool options
- Understand how SketchUp can be used as part of the interior design process
- Create 3D objects in SketchUp by using modeling tool/commands, create and modify groups & components
- Utilize the SketchUp materials manager for basic rendering
This workshop is valid for .7 CEU (Continuing Education Units) with the IDCEC (Interior Design Continuing Education Council). Handouts will be provided.
Catered lunch provided by Cambria included in ticket price.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Hilda Moattar, Allied ASID, LEED GA
Hilda is a freelance interior designer who works on residential, landscaping, and large staging projects using SketchUp and AutoCAD, as well as providing 3D modeling presentations and construction plans for other Bay Area designers. Her passion for teaching has led to a role as an Assistant Professor at Canada College where she teaches AutoCAD for Interior Designers. Hilda holds an Interior Design Degree from West Valley College, a certificate in AutoCAD, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care. She has been teaching Google/Trimble SketchUp since 2012, and has several years of experience working with the software. She taught SketchUp workshops for West Valley College, Canada College, and San Francisco State University, as well as a seminar for NKBA’s local chapter.
