Description
Join ASID Georgia and Knoll for an evening of networking with some of Atlanta's top designers. Learn how to improve your portfolio and prepare for a job interview from these professionals as they review your work in a speed dating format. There will also be a fashion expert from White House Black Market to advise on how to dress your best for that first interview. Food and beverages will be provided. Open to junior, senior, and graduate interior design students.
Agenda:
5:00-5:30: Check-in, Meet and Greet, Food and Drinks
5:30-5:45: Welcome, Explanation of Rules for Portfolio Reviews
5:45- 7:15: Portfolio Reviews with Professionals, Additional Activities Including Fashion Advice from White House Black Market and History of Knoll Presentation
7:15-7:30: Closing Comments
-Only 24 spots are available.
-A resume is not required.
-We understand some students are in different places in their school program and therefore is ok if a portfolio is not fully completed.
-Students are able to sign-up to meet with three reviewers in the field of design they are most interested in (corporate, residential, institutional, graphic design and branding).

The Georgia Chapter has approximately 1400 members consisting of Practitioners, Industry Partners, and Student members in 12 schools. Of the chapter's practicing interior designers, 64% practice primarily in the commercial field, 36% practice in the residential field with most designers practicing in both fields.
ASID Industry Partners include member firms and individual representatives connecting the professional designer with a variety of manufacturers and distributors.
