The Asian World Film Festival (AWFF), now in its third year, brings the best of a broad selection of Asian World cinema to Los Angeles in order to draw greater recognition to the region's wealth of Filmmakers and strengthen ties between the Asian and Hollywood film industries. The Festival is unique in its concept, in that it predominantly screens films from the Asian Continent which have been submitted to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and the Golden Globes for Best Foreign Language Film. The 2016 Festival screened 21 Oscar submitted films along with 16 Golden Globe submissions.

Our 3rd annual festival will run from October 25 to November 2nd. You are welcome to celebrate with us. Please see the below ticket options for purchase.

*Please note that some of our selection of films and screening times have yet to be announced.

1. GENERAL ADMISSION PER SCREENING TICKETS ($10.00 online, $7.00 at the venue with student ID)

2. ONE DAY PASS ($30.00)

- Purchaser has access to all screenings for chosen day

3. PANEL TICKETS ($60.00)

- One ticket per panel

4. ALL SCREENINGS ($120.00)

- Purchaser has access to all screenings during our festival with the exception of Opening Night and Closing Night screenings.


- Please note that this ticket does not include access to cocktail parties.

6. VIP TICKETS ($500.00)

- Perks include exclusive access to:

  • All screenings

  • All our expert panels

  • Cocktail Parties

We will refund up to 7 days before the start date of the event.

What are the movies that will be shown during the festival?

All movies and their respective showtimes will be updated above at a later time, as will other ticket options. Currently, we are selling special screening tickets for our Opening Night screening: Ayla: The Daughter of War, Closing Night screening: George Takei's Allegiance. Our General Screenings include Oscar-submitted Nepalese film, White Sun, Pakistani Oscar-entry, Saawan, and the 80's North Korean film, Salt. The Opening and Closing Night tickets will allow ticketholders to watch the special screening with VIP guests and members of the Academy.

Are there any discounts for students?

Yes there are! We want to encourage our aspiring filmmakers to attend our festival, so we are offering $7.00 discounted General Admission tickets for students sold at the venue only. Please bring your student ID to the venue for a discount!
