Event description

Description

According to the CDC, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders account for less than 5% of the population, but make up more than 50% of Americans living with chronic hepatitis B. Left untreated, this "silent killer" could lead to serious liver disease. Join us for a short discussion by Mills High School students followed by a screening of the documentary Be About It which explores the effects of Hepatitis B on two Asian American families.

This program is available to you for free thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Millbrae Library. Please consider joining or donating to this wonderful all-volunteer nonprofit so we can keep offering quality programs like this for years to come.
