Event description

Description

Please join the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Metropolitan Section Younger Member Forum (YMF) as we host our 2nd annual Fall Talk for Younger Members. This talk provides an exceptional opportunity for young engineers to receive career advice from a fellow engineer who has achieved rapid success and recognition from ENR New York. The evening will start with a networking reception (appetizers and two drink tickets included), followed by presentations from each speaker and a Q&A.

The 2017 Fall Talk will have two distinguished speakers: Alexander Napoli and Julie Pietrzak. Alex, a New York native, was recognized as an ENR Top 20 under 40 engineer in 2015 for his work on multiple NYCT subway tube repairs due to Superstorm Sandy damage. Julie is a 2017 ENR Top 20 under 40 engineer recently relocated from California. She has been recognized for her work on flood-mitigation projects for NYCT and Metro-North. Now both working at STV, these two industry leaders will provide insights to critical goals and skills a young engineer shall accomplish to achieve career advancement. Attendees also have a chance to receive two different perspectives on career development and work-life balance.
