While experts are looking at various economic data to better define the risk and timing of this economic slowdown, these events are hard to predict. So, what does it mean to be an engineer through these cycles and periods of uncertainty? Projects and policies that integrate public support can become the cornerstone for a community's character. Local agencies and engineering partners must adapt to our ever changing world by working more cohesively in order to thrive in the future to meet the public’s wants and needs. Arguably, the best way to do so is to bring the community into the creative design space. This presentation will leave you with a fresh perspective of the obstacles and challenges the public sector encounters within itself and innovative ways to better serve your clients and, more importantly, the people in the communities you serve.
