We want you to join the ASBC Family to join us for one of our powerful ministry workshops! All of our participating ministries have prayed and prepared each of the workshops to inform you and strengthen your relationship with God!

Chaplain...Who me? Tips and Tools to be an Effective Servant Leader - Are you a Chaplain at ASBC? The purpose of this class is to provide knowledge of the expectations of being a Chaplain at ASBC. You will be provided tools and resources to assist in your role as a Chaplain.

Essentials for Effective Prayer- Essentials of Effective Prayer opens the discussion and provides practical examples from God's word on prayers that get results! Effective prayer is not about eloquence, but rather earnestness and intimacy with the Father.

Finding the Spirit Within- This workshop is designed to assist Women in identifying their leadership potential and entrepreneurial spirit. Participants will engage in activities that will assist them in discerning their passion and to find the spirit within.

Landlord/Tenant Real Estate Law Clinic - Interested in being a landlord or have questions about your obligations to your current tenants? Are you a tenant that has questions about what your landlord can and cannot do? Please join the Legal Resources Ministry for our first ever Landlord/Tenant Real Estate Law Clinic. The Clinic will focus on landlord and tenant issues in District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia and is open to Alfred Street members and the general public. Attendees desiring to consult privately about their landlord/tenant matters are eligible to receive a free 15-minute consultation with a licensed attorney. Men's Ministry Bible Study & Meeting - Join the Men's Ministry for Bible Study and Informational updates. Mission: The Alfred Street Baptist Church Men's Ministry strives to equip all men to win the world for Christ through biblical studies, fellowship, stewardship and service, empowering all men to strengthen their personal relationship with Christ and become professional fisher of men.

Self-Awareness & Building Where You’re Planted- The average woman's unadjusted annual salary has been cited as 78% to 82% of that of the average man's… Yet Women are almost half of the workforce. They are the sole or co-breadwinner in half of American families with children. They receive more college and graduate degrees than men. Yet, on average, women continue to earn considerably less than men! Join us for this Impact Saturday to talk about salary negotiations growing where you’re planted! TCB: Empowering Black Women to Manage Stress- Being a “Strong Black Woman” can have many benefits that range from effectively coping with individual life challenges to ensuring the survival of Black families and communities. Research has also shown that donning the cape of the “Strong Black Woman” can cause stress and lead to problematic outcomes. In this interactive, spiritually-grounded session, participants will begin to understand the historical context for Black women’s relationship with self-care. The workshop will also assist with identifying sources of stress and developing coping skills for managing the physiological indicators of stress. Most importantly, participants will create a self-care contract and identify accountability partners.

What Is Infertility?- This workshop will identify and address various forms of infertility and the growing population of women who encounter the issues. Infertility professionals will share facts about issues pertaining specifically to women in today's socioeconomic climate, in addition to providing education and guidance for ongoing support.
