Description

ASAM Criteria is used across the Substance Use Disorder continuum of care, and is a vital educational piece for new SUD service providers.This comprehensive two-day, 12-hour training will cover the essential knowledge of ASAM, the basics of records management and compliance, and treatment planning. Utilizing different training styles, participants will walk away from this training with a thorough understanding of how to apply the ASAM Criteria, how to properly guide and document treatment progress, and the essential components of treatment planning for SUD patients.

* 12 hours of NAADAC continuing education units * This training is intended to satisfy the requirements of CADC I certification in Oregon.

* March 28 and 29 (9:00 AM -4:00 PM each day with a one hour break for lunch) *

* Snacks and beverages will be provided *



About the instructors:

Ryan Federmeyer, CADC I, has worked in a myriad of roles within Adapt over the past 6 years, learning first-hand about the various levels of treatment in the Substance Use Disorder spectrum and their criteria. For the past three years, he has worked primarily in a role of coordination and navigating the treatment services offered all over the state of Oregon, as well as managing a variety of SUD services offered to the members of two Oregon Health Plan CCO’s, using the ASAM book as his guide.

Ryan Daven, MSW, CADC II, is the Program Director for Crossroads residential treatment and detox. He has worked in multiple substance abuse / co-occurring disorders setting including mobile crisis outreach, detox, opiate treatment programs and has been a mental health court probation officer.

Lisa Hubbard LCSW has been the Clinical Director of Substance Use Disorder treatment services at Adapt since 2014. She has more than twenty years’ experience providing mental health and substance use disorder treatment services in substance use treatment programs, community mental health, school, and private practice settings.
