Aerospike is an enterprise-class, NoSQL database solution for real-time operational applications that delivers predictable performance at scale, superior uptime, and high availability at the lowest TCO compared to first-generation NoSQL and relational databases.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Cross Datacenter Replication (XDR) is a feature available in the Aerospike Enterprise Edition (EE) which allows users to synchronize selected data between two Aerospike clusters. It is typically used for distributing data across regions and/or disaster recovery.

COURSE : AS 201 – Cross Datacenter Replication in Aerospike

DURATION : 1 day, with hands-on learning. 10:00AM to 06:00PM

WHO SHOULD ATTEND AND UNIQUE FEATURES OF THE TRAINING:

Intended for database administrators as well as data modelers who are using Aerospike. Customers who are using enterprise edition looking to enable XDR or customers using community editions, considering to migrate to enterprise edition and incorporate XDR. This is a full-day instructor led hands-on course, focuses on how XDR works, XDR configuration, monitoring metrics and tuning. This course also discusses XDR security features and XDR Topology to help decide an XDR configuration that best suits your business needs.

Students will use their own laptop and log into provided AWS instances to setup XDR and monitor the database using the Aerospike Management Console (AMC).

Prerequisites:

  • Basic Linux admin experience

  • Wifi enabled laptop

  • Ability to ssh into a server instance on AWS

  • PDF viewer

  • AS102 Administration and Operations course or equivalent handson experience with Aerospike.

  • XDR Architecture - how XDR works

  • XDR Topology

  • Configure and Deploy XDR

  • Monitor and Tune XDR performance

  • Configure and enable User Access Security features

  • Configure and enable TLS Security
