Event Details

ArtSpark is happily teaming up again with Aspiration Tech on September 17, 2012, in downtown Albuquerque (right before ISEA 2012 opens).  We’ll co-facilitate an entire day of opportunities for learning and sharing across artistic disciplines and communities, including small group discussions, case studies, interactive brainstorming and hands-on training.  Events will be held at The Cell, home of The Fusion Theatre Company.

Following the 9a-5p learning event, we’ll host a social meet-up from 5:30-8p for the larger ABQ/Santa Fe and ISEA community.  The cost for the events is by donation (sliding scale $35-$100) with lunch and social meet-up snacks and bevs included.  We welcome volunteer-exchange and also have a small fund for those who need scholarships. ArtSpark is a social experiment to discover how artists and arts organizations can fund their projects and engage their audiences, fans and communities using both online and “on-the-ground” tools.  ArtSpark launched in Albuquerque in 2010, with the goal of finding out what works (and doesn’t work) so the experiment’s results can be shared with other communities near and far.

Aspiration helps nonprofits and foundations use software tools more effectively and sustainably. We serve as ally, coach, strategist, mentor and facilitator to those trying to make more impactful use of information technology in their social change efforts.
