Description

Join us for a chat with Kim Oswalt and Joe Gfaller, marketing gurus at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, about some of the free resources at your fingertips that can help you work smarter (not harder) in the new year. We will cover how to use tracking URLs to measure success and how the free, cloud-based collaboration tool Airtable can be a gamechanger in keeping everyone on your team aligned around your marketing plan.

Plus, bring your laptop! Kim and Joe will walk us each through how to set up our own campaign tracking URLs so you can hit the ground running.

Presenter Bios:

Joe Gfaller is Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. At OTSL, he has been recognized for his achievements in maintaining and building subscribership, growing young and diverse audiences, deepening national media attention, and developing programs that deepen OTSL’s engagement with the St. Louis community. For his work in that role, he was honored by the St. Louis Business Journal with their 2014 Diverse Business Leaders award. A case study of the company’s recent audience development work was published by the Wallace Foundation, the only opera company in the nation to be profiled as part of their Building Audiences for Sustainability initiative. He also teaches arts marketing for Webster University’s Arts Management and Leadership program and serves as the Marketing Co-Chair for OPERA America’s Marketing Forum. Prior to coming to St. Louis in 2011, he ran marketing for Atlanta’s Tony Award-winning Alliance Theatre, as well as marketing and development for Atlanta’s 7 Stages Theatre, during which time he received the Atlanta Power 30 Under 30 Award. He has also worked for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the American Repertory Theatre, and the Drama League of New York. He is a graduate of Harvard University and Leadership St. Louis.

Kim Oswalt has been the Digital Marketing Manager at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis since April 2018. In her current role, she handles OTSL’s website, email marketing, videography and internal design needs. She earned her bachelor’s in Media Production from Boise State University in 2015 and her master’s in Communication from Saint Louis University in 2017. Kim has worked for a variety of nonprofits in St. Louis, including St. Louis Public Radio, the International Institute, Congregation Shaare Emeth, and Baobab People. She is also a videographer with HEC Media, where she produces packages that focus on the arts, culture, and community.

In-kind support for this session of Arts Marketers is provided by Opera Theatre of Saint Louis.
