Arts in the Parks brings free, family-friendly arts events and activities to a park near you. Think theatre performances, dance classes, workshops, movies, festivals and more, right in your backyard! ***There is no need to reserve a ticket; Arts in the Parks events are completely free and open to all!***


AKWAABA! (Welcome!)

The Ghanaian Festival of Arts & Culture (GHANAFEST) is a FREE annual community event taking place on August 11th 2018 at the Earl Bales Park. The goal of Ghanafest is to bring Toronto’s multi-cultural community together in showcasing the rich culture and experiencing the heritage of the Ghanaian community which will include traditional food, cultural performers, performances from local artists across Canada, international artists from Ghana, as well as other multi-cultural showcases.

Ghanafest is annually celebrated and held around the world in notable cities such as GhanaFest Chicago, New York, and London. For the 7th year in a row, Toronto will get to experience the Ghanaian Festival of Arts & Culture which has come to symbolize the unity of the community in appreciation of the diversity in one another, as well as an avenue to engaging as one interactive celebration.
