In partnership with Creative Frisco, Texans for the Arts Foundation presents its signature ARTS FUNDING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND ADVOCACY WORKSHOP: Developing and implementing strategies to build successful arts organizations through effective leadership, board development and advocacy training.

Don’t miss this information-packed FULL-DAY professional development workshop for arts administrators, board members, students, community groups, elected officials, and anyone interested in learning successful techniques for growing the arts. This is a challenging, transformational and practical event with content suitable for anyone interested in contributing to a successful arts organization or program. This workshop is your opportunity to meet other arts leaders from your community and region and use the power of working together to increase your success. Immediately following the event, participants are invited to attend a happy hour social.

The ARTS FUNDING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND ADVOCACY WORKSHOP is presented only twice per year throughout Texas and is attendance is required for those seeking to become a Texans for the Arts' Certified Arts Advocate.

Participation is limited to 100 attendees. A limited number of scholarships are available for those with financial need.

* Identify and cultivate a broad range of donors
* Use stories and metrics to make your case
* Access local, state and national resources
* Comply with state and federal reporting requirements
* Become an effective advocate for the arts in your community and for your organization

* Cookie Ruiz - CFRE, Executive Director, Ballet Austin, and President of the Texans for the Arts' Board of Directors
* Ann S. Graham - Executive Director, Texans for the Arts
* Fiona Bond - Executive Director of Creative Waco and member of Texans for the Arts' Board of Directors
* Charles Eisemann - Businessman, Philanthropist and Arts Advocate, Richardson
* State/regional elected officials
