Overview

Dive into the cool blend of art and science behind ceremonial navigation, all from your couch!

Join Dr. WaiFung Tsang for a musical masterclass exploring his personal learnings on how artistic and scientific approaches interact within his studentship of Shipibo curanderismo.

In this 90-minute session with a lecture and Q&A, we will cover:

  • The role of icaros in ceremonial navigation and experience
  • Icaros as communication beyond language
  • The therapeutic power of sound and vibration
  • Scientific approaches to exploring the role of sound in traditional ayahuasca ceremonies
  • Art and its interconnected influence on experience
  • The role of movement and dance in personal growth
  • How Indigenous science and cosmologies bridge gaps between arts and sciences

This class is a further opportunity to meet WaiFung and ask him anything, especially if you’d like to join Onaya’s next 6-month training, starting 20 January 2025: https://www.onaya.io/psychedelic-mentorship-training

Dr. WaiFung Tsang is the Lead Instructor on Onaya's Psychedelic Mentorship Training programme, alongside Dr. Simon Ruffell. He is a clinical psychologist specializing in addiction, neurodevelopment, trauma, and the use of psychedelics in traditional settings, currently training in Shipibo curanderismo. Additionally, he is a talented musician who is part of United Freedom Collective and enjoys refining sound-healing techniques.
