Artluck Figure Drawing Class

This is a figure drawing class led by local Fort Worth artists, Alexa Alarcon de Wierenga and George Evan Olsen.
Alexa began creating art at a very young age. At five she was in a stain glass window class with Mary Lynn Bowman, at 14 went to Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and later obtained a BFA in painting at UT Arlington. At Booker T. WHSPVA, she was the first freshman to be allowed to participate in an extracurricular, nude, figure drawing class guided by Nancy Miller. Alexa’s artwork is heavily influenced by the 4 years of figure drawing classes, her concepts sweep within psychological states of mind, environmental and social politics. She currently works at Dow Art Galleries, LLC as an Art Restorer, while continuing to work as an artist in the evenings.
George Evan Olsen is a self-taught Portrait Painter residing in Arlington, Texas. He is a former graphic designer with a Bachelors in Fine Arts and an Associates in 2D Animation. His website is geoportraits.com Evan enjoys painting with oil paints and drawing with charcoal and pastels in a style that is realistic and contemporary yet also timeless. His grandmother was a portrait painter. She wrote a book entitled "Painting Portraits" which inspired him to follow in her footsteps and become a portrait painter as well. He is an avid volunteer in the DFW community, including teaching art classes to high schools, churches, families, girl scouts as well as volunteering time to teach art classes weekly at Mental Health America.
The subject of the class will be a live nude model and the sessions will be split into two 45min sessions with a 15min break in-between.The first session begins at 6:30pm and consists of several poses timed at different increments to serve as a warm-up. The second session is a single 45min pose that begins at 7:30pm.
