Event description
Artist Donald Langosy discusses his show "Excerpts from My Studio" from his home studio with his daughter, Zoe Langosy.

About this event

A prominent artist in the 1970s and 80s, Langosy has paintings and drawings in the permanent collections of the MFA Boston and the Harvard Art Museums, as well as private collections throughout the United States and Europe.

In the early 90s, he began to show signs of a rare form of multiple sclerosis that caused debilitating fatigue, and stole his mobility and many of his everyday capabilities. Despite this, Langosy never gave up on his art. Now a wheelchair user with limited mobility in all but his left hand, he still spends each day painting in his home studio.

Excerpts From My Studio not only celebrates the exquisite and haunting work of Langosy, but also pays homage to everyone who rises up in the face of adversity. He'll discuss his work and his career in this virtual talk.
