Now that I'm sober, what's going to happen to my art?

This question points to a common concern that arises for artists and creatives as they embark on recovery and give up their drug (or process) of choice.

What do I do now that I’m sober? When is my creativity going to come back online? Will it EVER come back (and will my art be as good as it was when I was using)?

These concerns rely heavily on a key myth: that drugs, alcohol and (fill-in-the-blank) are the key to creating art. (Or, the other myth - that they’re essential for creating GOOD art).

In this group, we aim to challenge that myth and uncover the freedom, potential and relief within creative endeavors in addiction recovery. We’ll do this by integrating addiction recovery tools and philosophy, spiritual tools, art-making exercises and interpersonal support. Whether you formally identify as an artist out in the world, or you’re interested in leveraging art to support your addiction recovery journey and life, this program will help you reclaim your creative vitality and self-expression (free from the chains of addiction).
