Description

Three major artists from Italy changed the face of art: Michelangelo, Bernini and Caravaggio. This class will look at the life and work of the Italian renaissance master, Michelangelo, and explore the restoration of the Sistine Chapel. In addition, this course will examine the works of Bernini, the sculptor and arts administrator of Rome who served eight popes. Lastly, this course will delve into the wild and frenetic life of Caravaggio, the baroque painter who created highly dramatic and emotional art.
