Do you look at art quilts and wonder how the artist captures the idea or image with fabric? Are you inspired by photos, or nature, or emotions to create something different than you have made so far, but don’t know where to start? Explore Artistic and Creative Quilting is a course in personal discovery guided by Mary Louise Gerek. In six monthly sessions, students will explore their own creative interests, learn about new techniques, materials and tools, and start to approach the creative process from an artist’s perspective. The focus will be on inspiration, experimentation, and moving out of a personal comfort zone into a new creative space.
