Artistic Floral Macro Photography (Rose Garden at NY Botanical Gardens)

We will be visiting the Rose Garden Exhibition at the NY Botanical Gardens located at 2900 Southern Boulevard in the Bronx. We will take the train or you may drive to arrive at the Botanical Gardens. You are responsible for your own transportation.Price includes admission.
In this Workshop, we will focus specifically on close-up and macro photos of florals, roses and others. We will begin by briefly discussing macro techniques (light, viewing angle, equipment), camera hand-holding techniques and then do a walk/shoot/learn tour of the Rose Garden Exhibition.
Recommended: DSLR with close-up/macro lens capability or point and shoot with macro range. Flash not necessary. No tripods. You must know the manual settings of your camera for this Workshop including F-Stops, ISO settings, etc.
About the Instructor:
Steve is a creative arts professional who has lived and worked in NYC for more than 20 years. He does photography and other creative work professionally, doing interiors and exteriors for business and individuals; advertising photography; artworks; visual displays; architecture and design, and other categories. He also does special event photography, shooting art gallery openings, corporate events, charity galas and store openings/new season presentations, he has shot for Neiman Marcus and The Gap among others. His background is in advertising and marketing and he also writes and directs videos for business and nonprofit clients. Steve and his wife also enjoy nature/landscape and macro photography, and still life scenes, displaying work from North America, Europe, Turkey and Morocco.
