Event description
Improve your fundamentals to build drawing skills using the unique grid drawing system!

About this event

New to drawing, or want to hone your technique and approach? Interested in developing the foundation of visual expression?

Join CMATO for our four-part Artist Workshop series with our teaching artist, Kelli Sincock!

Participants will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of drawing, with a focus on proportion, structure and value, and eventually progress to drawing the human face and form. The course will proceed sequentially, with each lesson building upon what was presented previously utilizing Kelli’s unique grid drawing system that improves accuracy without compromising the development of freehand drawing.

The best part? Participants' creations will be featured in a special online gallery on CMATO's website!

Previous drawing experience is helpful but not required. The first session will be presented via Zoom.

Admission to Artist Workshop is free for museum members and $100 for the series.
