Artist Talk: Richard Tuschman In-Conversation with Darren Ching
Event Information
About this Event
We are thrilled to present an In-Conversation between Darren Ching and Richard Tuschman, on the occasion of the release of Tuschman's new series of staged photographs – 'My Childhood Reassembled'.
'My Childhood Reassembled' explores the artist's upbringing in the suburban Mid-West of the early 1960s. This is a much-anticipated series, in which Richard Tuschman not only explores his own family history, but broader notions of childhood and the reliability of memory relating to our own upbringing.
With his signature combination of constructed dioramas, filmic lighting and expertly directed performance by live actors—Tuschman's new suite of 14 staged photographs are rich in color and mood, set against a background of nondescript suburban interiors.
This new work is currently on view at the Klompching Gallery, in the form of an online Viewing Room and immersive Virtual Exhibition. Visit the show here.
This presentation will be in the form of an Online Webinar, and we'll be taking questions via the Zoom Q&A.
