Description

Free professional development event for ARTIST ROOMS Associates, showcasing ideas and sharing best practice about learning and engaging with young people

Book your free place now for a day of discussion organised by ARTIST ROOMS, the National Galleries of Scotland and Tate, with sessions led by staff from Associate museums and galleries, as well as contributions from young people involved in the programme. You will have the chance to hear directly from other ARTIST ROOMS Associates about how they develop relationships with audiences, engage with young people, and produce creative learning projects around ARTIST ROOMS.

You are invited to take a tour of the Whitworth’s acclaimed ARTIST ROOMS Andy Warhol exhibition with Senior Curator Dr Samantha Lackey, and the gallery's first exhibition curated by young people, And Now We Are Plastic. There will also be the chance to share knowledge and experience with peers in the network.

This event is part of the ARTIST ROOMS professional development programme, which is being delivered in partnership with Ferens Art Gallery, supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, Art Fund and by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland.

To apply for a place with a travel bursary please first contact, Fiona Haggerty, Network Coordinator for ARTIST ROOMS at fhaggerty@nationalgalleries.org.

Bursaries are limited. Priority will be given to venues who are participating in the current exhibition prorgamme, or those that have previously taken part in ARTIST ROOMS.

With thanks to The Whitworth, Art Fund Museum of the Year 2016
