Event description
Artist in Residence John Coleman leads a week-long creative community event to celebrate and strengthen the chords between us.

About this event

John Coleman is a singer/songwriter in the acoustic folk tradition and has written and produced ten albums of original songs. His last two albums have explored desert spirituality with themes around the gift of silence and the blessings of God found in wild places.

John has experience working with groups of varying abilities to create songs and several years ago worked alongside the fledgling L’Arche Adelaide community to create their own theme song. John is a composer and painter and lives by the water in South East Tasmania.

Jenny Batten

John will be assisted by Jenny Batten. As a singer, art therapist, Spiritual Director and an accredited InterPlay facilitator, Jenny is curious about the arts and spirituality and loves to explore the points of connection that give life and sustain creativity.

Singing and music have been a big part of Jenny’s life and she shares that passion with others through music leadership of community choirs and VocalPlay workshops. Jenny currently lives in the Gippsland Region of Victoria.
