Join us for an unforgettable weekend with our Artist in Residence. Joey’s dream and professional mission is to help create a more musically joyous and spiritually compelling world for American Jews. Joey, Creative Director of the Mechon Hadar’s Center for Jewish Communal Music, is the author of the book “Building Singing Communities,” where he discusses strategies for bringing people together to make music a lasting and joy-filled force in the synagogue and Jewish life. His nigunim, published in 4 CDs and a Songbook, have become popular worldwide, and he has been heralded as “the next Shlomo Carlebach or Debbie Friedman.”

Using ideas from his book “Building Singing Communities”, Joey will discuss strategies for bringing people together to make music a lasting and joy-filled force in synagogue and Jewish life. We will sing, discuss, and have time for Q&A.
