Though whatever the design, architecture not only ensures a building's structural integrity, but also acts as a reinforcer of its cultural standing and representation of the ideas and activities that take place inside its walls. From palaces and theaters, to factories and apartment houses, it's time to explore some of the most incredible architectural wonders still standing.

Join New York Adventure Club for our three-part Artist Homes & Studios series, where we virtually scour the globe to uncover some of the most remarkable and astonishing works of architecture ever constructed. In Part Two, we'll examine incredible homes and studios of artists throughout the world from the period of the Late 19th century with a focus on new artistic forms and technologies.

Led by architectural historian David V. Griffin of Landmark Branding, this digital showcase featuring a selection of unique structures will include:

• Studios that reflect new trends in the production of art
• Beautiful homes, such as the magnificent palace of a popular Impressionist in Madrid 
• An old Dutch Colonial cottage that serves as a museum of one of America’s earliest woman photographers
• An in-depth look at each building's construction, context, and current status, with a focus on properties preserved and open to the public
