This is a series of collaborative events between #FASHHACK & Farfetch. At these open events you will have the opportunity to engage with the Farfetch Community and the wider Fashion Tech ecosystem on a range of burning industry topics.

PwC forecasts that AI has the potential to boost the UK economy by 10% to £232bn by 2030. These days Artificial Intelligence is being applied by retailers across the entire product and service lifecycle with the huge potential for AI to disrupt the luxury fashion industry as a whole.

Join #FASHHACK & Farfetch to hear from the leading innovators in fashion & retail. We will cover a variety of examples in which AI is being integrated by luxury brands in fashion & retail.

During this event we will discuss:

- what role the AI applications are playing in automation or augmentation of the retail processes;

- how luxury companies & brands are using this technology to stay ahead today;

- what innovations are being pioneered as potential retail game-changers over the next decade.

Mehdi Doghri, Co-Founder and CTO of Save Your Wardrobe, a FashionTech startup changing the way we manage our clothes post-purchase. Mehdi is an experienced tech entrepreneur who started his career as solution architect for blue chip companies before joining a mobile agency as CTO delivering 20+ apps. At the same time he scaled a disruptive digital content startup in the hospitality industry. For the last 4 years he has been leading a digital innovation team at Barclays driving new digital products for the SME market.

Natalie Varma, Head of Inspiration at Farfetch. Natalie has over 12 years’ experience in luxury retail and digital product leadership. With her vast knowledge of the fashion world and its global customer she made a huge impact after joining British artificial-intelligence company DeepMind Technologies, where she bridged the gap between cutting-edge technology and the fashion business, leading the product and tech development from concept to build, creating a personalised fashion discovery experience. With extensive e-commerce experience under her belt, Natalie has also worked at British fashion house, Anya Hindmarch, as the head of e-commerce and joined Condé Nast in 2014 as Head of Innovation to lead all aspects of product on the re-launch of Style.com and create integrated and personalised shopping experiences for Vogue.co.uk and GQ.co.uk.

Maghan McDowell, the Innovation Editor at Vogue Business. Maghan leads the coverage of technology and innovation at Vogue Business. She is known for identifying the key drivers of the future of fashion and retail, and offering digestible insights on which technologies matter. Before joining Condé Nast International, McDowell reported for publications including W, Marie Claire, San Francisco Chronicle and Business of Fashion, and was the first technology reporter for WWD. McDowell has taught at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism, from which she holds a degree.

Rani Saad, is co-founder and President of the Stanford Angels of the UK. Rani has built and invested in ventures for over 20 years. He is focused on deep-tech startups (with a portfolio of over 25). Rani has served as Managing Partner at Foundamental. He has also co-founded or co-built four startups in Silicon Valley, London and elsewhere, in addition to a $120M emerging markets VC fund. He launched products globally and directed innovation acceleration at Microsoft, launched cutting-edge fintech platforms at Capital One, and led venture formation at ideas42, a leading behavioral sciences entity affiliated with Harvard, MIT and Princeton. He also formerly served as a Partner at Delta Pacific Partners (Silicon Valley and Tokyo based) and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at a Silicon Valley accelerator, Reactivity. Rani holds an MBA from Stanford and degrees in three engineering fields.
