Event description

Description

The Office of Latino/Latin American Studies (OLLAS) in collaboration with El Museo Latino is organizing their second biennial art exhibition to be held at El Museo Latino (4701 S. 25th St, Omaha, NE) during Hispanic Heritage Month in 2019. This exhibition will be centered around the motto/lema "The Voice of our Roots/La Voz de Nuestras Raices." The mission of ArteLatinX is to create a biennial art exhibition to bring together Latinx artists from all over Nebraska.

Aside from the exhibition ArteLatinX 2019 will also include several different activities, such as workshops, artist talks, and the Discussion Panel, that will be hosted all around the Omaha Metro.

This workshop will consist of a short introduction to felting, which is a textile material that is produced by matting, condensing, and pressing fibers together, such as wool, animal fur, or synthetic fibers. The participants engaging with wool will be assisted by artist Anella Fernández.

There will be only 15 spots available. Hurry and reserve your spot now!

Participants must be 16 years or older.
