Event description

Description

Art Walks by PAmfilus are a private educational program on the current state of art at the heart of the world’s most dynamic art market: New York City.

As part of our on-going effort to discover the great artists of our generation, we invite participants to explore the latest developments in the contemporary art world through a carefully selected route of art galleries and public art projects. Each walk addresses the question of ‘how to look’ at post-war and contemporary art, discerning the significance of artists’ new contributions in the academic sense, and analyzing the prevailing market in order to make knowledgable acquisition decisions. This program is suitable for art amateurs, collectors, visitors and anyone interested in understanding the visual arts in New York.

All walks are private, and offered in English or Spanish. Art Walks are led by Julio de Arcenegui.

Art Walks of Chelsea

For the last two decades Chelsea has seen the growth of the world’s most prominent art galleries. Today, internationally acclaimed artists present their latest contributions along with a diverse group of galleries working with emerging and mid career artists.
