Art walk: A garden made of lines @ NRAS Open Allotment Day
Artist duo Kirsty Badenoch and Wayward will lead a creative walk around the allotments, inviting you to experience the beautiful blooms and vivacious veggies through writing and drawing. We'll embark on a series of playful and meditative experiments, immersing ourselves in wonders of the natural world, telling magical stories and turning things upside down with our imaginations.
Everyone is welcome - gardeners and story-tellers, hunters and dreamers, kids and grannies, pets and parents. You're especially welcome if you think you "can't draw" - we're here to prove otherwise! All workshop materials will be provided.
Walk 1: 16:00 - 16:30
Walk 2: 16:30 - 17:00
Meet 10 minutes before at the main shop store by the front entrance near the busway.
This workshop is part of "Search for the Hedge Witch", a two-year community art-and-ecology project bringing together young minds from across Cambridge to co-create a new ecological myth. Future events will include hedgerow planting and maintenance workshops in the Cherry Hinton area in 2025/26.
