OUT OF BOUNDS: An exhibition of Contemporary Art from Japan
Bloc Projects – More here
This group exhibition of contemporary artists from Japan, presented as part of Japan Now North, pushes at the boundaries of form and identity, challenging contemporary art practice, generic constraints, and social expectations, including what British audiences may expect from women artists from Japan.

Penny Withers: Scale
Persistence Works – More here
Drawing inspiration from the rock formations of the surrounding Peak District, ceramicist and Yorkshire Artspace studio holder Penny Withers has created a new body of work which experiments with making larger pieces, playing with scale and with the physicality of building large sectional pieces. Penny has worked with local climbers to find out more about the intricate surface details on rocky outcrops such as Stannage and Curbar Edge, and this collaboration has brought elements of these forms directly into her work.

Construction House: Radical Materials
S1 Artspace – More here.
Radical Materials is the last in a series of exhibitions as part of Construction House and focuses on the practical workshops held at the Bauhaus, which brought together creativity and experimentation with materials with industrial manufacturing processes. Including newly commissioned work by artists Joseph Cutts, Peter Martin & Jon Cannon and Emily Musgrave, alongside Marianne Brandt’s iconic desk set, tray and coaster holder and László Moholy-Nagy’s only abstract film, A Lightplay: Black White Gray (1930).

Art Walks form part of Making Ways, a programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
