Come view artwork & meet Starchild herself. ALL are welcome at Project Human X.
A compelling story is one which captures our feelings & makes us reflect on our own lives. Stories that give us a push to love harder, move with passion & enjoy the little things life has to offer.
Starchild’s story is just that. She began painting during the Covid-19 pandemic. She uses art that speaks to the heart & embodies healing. Starchild is a 2-time cancer survivor, mother and so much more.
Starchild passionately creates art that speaks to your heart and filled with written affirmations and love.
A percentage of art sales will be donated to Strong Survivors , an organization dedicated to helping cancer patients & cancer caregivers. You can learn more about the organization here: https://strong-survivors.siu.edu
Opening Reception: Saturday, April 1st 1pm - 5pm

About Strong Survivors:
The Strong Survivors Exercise and Nutrition Program for Cancer Survivors and Caregivers utilizes exercise as a therapeutic tool to help cancer survivors and caregivers get through the treatment and recovery process. Exercise programs are individualized for each participant and are based on medical and fitness histories, initial fitness assessment results, and quality of life goals. All programs are created and administered by SIU student staff members who have completed the Strong Survivors Staff Training Class (KIN 402 syllabus). The free program is co-sponsored by the SIU Department of Kinesiology and the SIH Cancer Institute, and occurs primarily at John A. Logan College and the SIUC Cancer Rehabilitation Laboratory.
