This class is designed for students who would like to learn about art and technology and how to combine the two. No previous experience required. This course is appropriate for absolute beginners as well as experienced tinkerers. It is also perfect for students with an art background who wish to learn how to incorporate new media and technology into their works as well as those with a technology background who wish to create art with their skills.

You'll need a laptop for a majority of these classes. If you do not have one, write Erica an email (erica@hatchathens.com) and she'll secure you one to use for the duration of this class.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No ID is required, however this class is designed for "adults 16+." In this case "adults" means if you can drive yourself to the class, you can register. Participants under the age of 18 will require a guardian's signature for their waivers.

If children or siblings of a close age wish to participate together, there may be possible exceptions. However, we do have an Art & Technology Kids class for ages 9 - 15.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We are located in Chase Park Warehouses beside the Tree Room. Our address will attempt to get you to the back of the building. Our sign and door is out front. To get THERE, put this in your GPS: 160 Tracy St. Athens, GA 30601.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Shoot an email over to erica@hatchathens.com

What's the refund policy?

Due to the length of this course as well as the limited space, you have until 7 days prior to the start of class to request a refund. We understand that dire circumstances come up, however. If you have an emergency, contact Erica and she will work with you to get things sorted out.

Do I need to bring anything for the class?

Your registration fee covers the basic materials needed for the class. However, a laptop computer is needed for a majority of these classes. If you do not have your own laptop, contact Erica (erica@hatchathens.com) beforehand and she will secure a laptop for your use for the duration of the class.

Do I need any previous experience?

NO! You do not need to have ANY art experience or technology experience. You do not even need to have a project in mind that you'd like to make. This class is designed to give you the basic skills needed to start making art and technology and show you how to combine the two.
