Event description
John Nava, one of Ventura County’s greatest fine artists, will discuss his infamous Neo Icons series and Old Master style of painting.

About this Event

Best known for his extraordinary commissioned tapestry work in the Cathedral of our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, nationally renowned figurative painter John Nava portrays faces fluidly on both canvas and cloth. His paintings represent a lifelong experimentation with historical techniques to create arresting, contemporary works of art.

Nava will discuss his Neo-Icons series, part of CMATO's current group exhibition "Empathy: Beneath the Surface," and tapestry as a medium for his monumental works.

Art Talk is free for CMATO members and $10 for non-members.
