Ramsey Parks & Recreation and the Rumriver Art Center present: Art in the Park at The Draw
Rumriver Art Center Instructors will take kids ages 5-15 through each project, step-by-step, allowing them to understand the process of each technique and still be able to create their own version!
Each week will feature a different project, in different mediums. All artist grade materials needed for the project will be provided to you at the park, following your registration.
June 15—Frieda Kahlo inspired pug, watercolor
June 29—Dragonfly painting, watercolor and pastel
July 13—Sun print collage
July 27—Mayan-themed jaguar, watercolor/acrylic
August 10—Emoji drawing, watercolor with ink
August 17—Jamini Roy inspired elephant painting
Registration is required. Class is free. A ticket must be reserved for each participant, class is limited to the first 40 registrants. Classes are for children ages 5-15. Participants must check-in 5 minutes prior to the start of class. All unclaimed seats will be filled in at that time.
Classes will be held on Thursdays at The Draw - 7401 E Ramsey Parkway. In the event of inclement weather, classes will be moved to Ramsey City Hall, Lake Itasca Room, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW. Rain hold for July 13 and August 10 is in the Alexander Ramsey Room.
Participants in City of Ramsey events and activities may be photographed by City employees, elected officials, or volunteers during various City events and activities. These photographs may be gathered and maintained by the City for the purpose of commemorating these events and activities for display in City buildings, newsletters, websites, social media pages, and other City publications.
In the event that a photo of you or those whom you are registering is taken and the City would like to display the photo, by registering for this event, you are hereby consenting to the City’s use or publication of your and/or your registrants photograph.
