Art for your Health Walk (Dec. 7)
MEETUP POINT: Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture & Design (South entrance)
Join us for a healthy walk and outdoor art tour with Mike Guidry, curator of the University of Houston Public Art Collection, in partnership with the docents of the Blaffer Art Museum. The "Art for Your Health Walk" series is a free weekly 30-minute walking tour of the impressive outdoor art on campus taking place November 9 - December 21, 2016. Walks begin with a brief welcome and introduction of the day's tour. You are encouraged to walk at a healthy but comfortable pace, and to bring good walking shoes. Stopping at various works of art, the leader will explain the different pieces and take questions while participants take a break from the physical activity. Please be on time as all walks will begin promptly at noon. Participants are encouraged to bring water, wear sunscreen or a hat, sunglasses, and to bring a friend.
Attend 6 of the 7 walks in fall 2016 session and be entered to win a drawing for a Fitbit.
If there is inclement weather, the walk will be canceled.
ROUTE: This week, we will be taking Tour 1 marked in red.
