Art for Wapiyapi is a growing event to recognize the amazing artwork created by campers during their week long experience at camp, and to raise funds to send children to camp next year. Three galleries will show over 100 pieces which will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the event along with several works of art donated by local artists. All proceeds from the Art for Wapiyapi will help fund campers for the upcoming year. Tickets are $15 for individuals and $35 for families and your ticket gets you: Four hours of art, three live bands, appetizers, unlimited soft drinks and alcoholic drinks and face paintings!
Come and enjoy four hours of art, music, food and fun and if you have the winning bid on artwork, you can take the experience home with you!
Wapiyapi is a Colorado based nonprofit organization that offers a community of hope and support to families affected by childhood cancer. Wapiyapi hosts free summer camps and year-round family retreats to provide a respite for children with cancer and their families.
Wapiyapi was established in 1998 by University of Colorado medical students in order to help children with cancer. As of 2010, their annual summer camps and retreats have served over 1,000 children in a safe and nurturing environment that allows these patients and their families to understand that they do not face their challenges alone.
Please contact us at www.wapiyapi.org or (303) 534-0883 for additional information.
All proceeds will benefit Camp Wapiyapi, our summer camp program for kids with cancer and their siblings. Whether you're new to Wapiyapi or a longtime supporter, we hope that you will join us to support these amazing children and their families!
