MMoCA will present ART+ Food on Tuesday, December 6. This event—part of the museum's ongoing ART+ series—will explore culinary endeavors as artistic pursuits, with a particular dialogue around process, the role of time, elements developed, and creative constraints. The panel will feature:
- Laurie Beth Clark and Michael Peterson, UW Art Department faculty and collaborative duo behind Spatula & Barcode, a “social practice art” group whose primary focus is movements of food and food culture. Spatula & Barcode are included in the 2016 Wisconsin Triennial.
- Jonny Hunter and Mel Trudeau, co-founders of Underground Food Collective
- Tory Miller, executive chef and co-owner of L'Etoile, Graze, Sujeo, and Estrellòn Restaurants
ART+ Food is FREE for MMoCA members and employees of member businesses; $10 for the general public.
The ART+ series is presented by the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, and is made possible through the generous support of Johnson Bank.
