by Irene Sheytman and Saida Fagala
Opening Reception and the meeting with the artists: September 20, 2013, 7:30p.m.
The СaviArt Gallery is thrilled to host the dynamic exhibition of Irene Sheytman and Saida Fagala, two artists from Baku, Azerbaijan.
Irene Sheytman has been painting since childhood. After graduating from Azerbaijan State College of Architecture she participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Moscow, Russia, and Houston as well. Within the last three summer months the works of the artist were presented at six exhibitions; including Gallery M Squared and Watercolor Art Society of Houston where they were awarded Honorable Mention. Being an architect and an artist Irene Sheytman is committed to express herself finding the beauty of the city landscapes. Her emotional journey through the imaginary and real city streets is poetic and vibrant. At the current exhibition she presents the artworks full of lyricism and sensuality (watercolor and acrylic).
Born in a family of the talented painters Saida Fagala is a well-known artist whose path in the fine arts has led her to the unique expression of mood and color through numerous forms of crafts (ceramic, pottery) and painting in watercolor and ink recently. Since graduating from Art School and Art Institute and arriving in Houston in 1998 Saida Fagala has been actively exhibited her works at various galleries and shows: Anya Tish Gallery, Rouge Art by Karine, Foelber Pottery Gallery, Houston Center for Contemporary Crafts, Winter Street Studios show, Watson Gallery Shows and others.
