BIOS:
Ruth Block
Ruth Block, MA, MFA, has been a visual artist and art educator for many decades, including this Fall Semester Figure Drawing at Berkeley City College. Stylistically eclectic, she uses any medium or combination for expression. Ruth is contributing several monotypes, an acrylic painting, and a paper sculpture to complement the works of two other artists at the Prepared Food Annex display. You can follow her work here.
Lecy Brito
Art and creativity have always come naturally to Brazilian-born Lecy Brito. Consistently excelling in art classes, by fourteen Lecy was hand painting t-shirts and table cloths to sell in her home town of Para. Through the years, jewelry, porcelain, holiday cards, soap, hats, furniture, and canvas have all been Lecy’s mediums. You can follow her work here.
Jessica Greaux
Dr. Jess combines her science background with art in the form of photography, manipulating natural and studio light, making simple objects appear charismatic and seductive. Although she started as a landscape photographer, her obsession with black and white photography has sparked a recent interest in large format, both wet plate and film. You can follow her work here, here, and here.
