The Bronx Museum of the Arts and Artadia present Art & Dialogue: New York with Kimberli Gant

Join the Bronx Museum of the Arts for a free public program at The Block Gallery with curator Kimberli Gant, the McKinnon Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Chrysler Museum of Art, Norfolk, VA. Co-presented in partnership with Artadia as part of Art & Dialogue: New York, Gant will discuss her curatorial practice working in ethnic-specific, contemporary, and encyclopedic museums.

Kimberli Gant has held curatorial positions at the Newark Museum, The Contemporary Austin, and the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts. She has organized numerous exhibitions including Multiple Modernisms, Wondrous Worlds: Art & Islam through Time & Place, and De-Luxe. Kimberli holds Art History degrees from the University of Texas Austin, Columbia University, and Pitzer College.

Art & Dialogue is Artadia's national programming initiative that forges connections between visual artists, curators, and diverse publics in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco through a series of studio visits, public programs, and online engagement.

The Bronx Museum of the Arts is an internationally recognized cultural destination that presents innovative contemporary art exhibitions and education programs and is committed to promoting cross-cultural dialogues for diverse audiences.
