Art, Culture and Edmonton’s Creative Ecology

The Creative Cities movement has had an enormous impact on the way we view the role of art and culture in our urban centres. Creative Ecology refers to the way in which diverse communities work together in systemic and adaptive ways to produce new ideas. According to John Howkins – author of Creative Ecology: Where thinking is a proper job diversity, change, learning and adaptation mutually enhance each other. This lecture explores the future of Edmonton’s creative ecology and its evolution toward fulfilling and achieving its potential.
