Description

Jonathan Ellis, E-RYT 500 and Hunter Museum Curators will lead participants in creative new perspectives of Yoga practice and Yoga instruction using art as inspiration. After meditation and asana practice, participants will explore the anatomy and fundamental aspects of our feet that bring support and foundation to our standing postures.

This artful Yoga immersion is ideal for 200 / 500 hour teachers wanting a modern way to experience their practice, expand their teaching skills, and draw from new inspirational perspectives. This is an educational gift to the Yoga community to grow together and is a pay what you can investment (Typical cost is $12 per CEU). This workshop is approved by Yoga Alliance : 4 CEU's for Registered Yoga Teachers. Space is limited and advanced registration is required via eventbrite.

Topics covered:

*general anatomy and mechanics of the feet and ankles including arches

*engagement elements to generate more intelligence through our arches and up through the kinetic chain of joints

*process and functionality of utilizing our center line of gravity through the feet to enliven our standing asanas

Please bring your own yoga mat, props, hydration and any technology needed to make notes. **This workshop will be filmed.
